A postmortem has revealed that former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore died of a suspected heart attack when he passed way on Sunday (6 February). As previously reported by AOL Music,
the guitarist had been holiday on the Costa del Sol in Spain with his
girlfriend and was found dead inside his room at the five-star Kempinski
Resort Hotel.
According to a report in the Mirror,
further tissue tests have been ordered by forensic experts before they
conclude their report into the guitarist's untimely death at the age of
58.
The alarm was raised at 4am on Sunday morning by Moore's girlfriend and
paramedics soon arrived at the scene. It is understood that the pair had
earlier consumed a burger and sandwich and had drunk brandy and
champagne.
It is understood that Moore's brother, Cliff, is among several relatives
who have flown over to Spain to take his body back to his native
Belfast in Northern Ireland.
A police spokesman said: "His death is not in any way suspicious. An inquiry has been opened to find the exact cause
